Work with me

I help foundations, universities, and research agencies design and evaluate the institutions and funding mechanisms that research needs. My view is that the most valuable strategy is architectural: a deliberate, diverse range of institutions and funding mechanisms, and the capacity to steer when it is needed. I maintain a continuously updated mapping of the global metascience ecosystem and write primers on the concepts and mechanisms that matter for reforming how research is organised.

Designing funding programmes and mechanisms, new research organisations and FRO-style initiatives, portfolios, and evaluation frameworks.

Advisory and strategy

Strategy, institutional positioning, and design questions, from a single conversation to a standing relationship as a trusted sparring partner. Particular focus on foundations.

Research and mapping

Landscape analyses, comparative frameworks, and evidence syntheses on funding models, institutional forms, and research governance.

Writing and communication

Op-eds, reports, briefings, and primers in Danish and English, for specialist and public audiences.

Speaking and facilitation
